My Hen's Night

Held at

1806 and Champagne Lounge

We started the night at 1806....

The Look: 1806 is a kind of cocktail apothecary featuring, amongst other things, a collection of vintage shakers and mixing equipment it is understated, with an old-world aura. Eighteen hundred and six was the year that the word cocktail was first used in print, and on the 13th of May that year, in the Balance and Columbia Repository, the word was defined for the first time.

To drink: 1806 is named in honour of the year cocktails apparently first made their mark in print. The 1806 cocktail list is as historically correct as possible and follows a time-line over the last two hundred years, capturing the essence of each decade and what people were drinking.

I got to hand pick 4 cocktails from the menu (1806 has just taken out the award for Best Cocktail List in the World at the New Orleans Tales of the Cocktail festival!)

My choices were:

Xanadu Fancy
42 Below Passionfruit Vodka, with Hibiscus, Aperol and Lime. Finished with a hint of Almond and served straight up. Crisp and slightly tropical, to ward off that winter chill.

Japanese Slipper
Cointreau, Midori, and Fresh Lemon, served straight up with a Cherry. Pure 80’s chic, and darn tasty to boot!

Rum Shrub
Raspberries crushed with Jamaican Rum and Liqueur. Sweet, strong and gorgeous.

Espresso Martini
The perfect pick-me-up. Vodka with Coffee, Kahlua and Sugar.

To eat: The finger food was:
*Chicken and Macadamia Balls
*Coconut Chicken Sugar Cane Satay Sticks
*Sushi Platter
*Beef & Burgundy Party Pie
*Moroccan Lamb & Pine Nut Puffs
*Basil & Fetta Tarts

After 1806 we moved on to Champagne Lounge (Hidden in the increasingly hip 'little Collins steet'. The Champagne Lounge is one of Melbourne's Best kept secrets) where we danced the night away.

I was one of the

Embellished Idol Wildcards....

This was my layout from Week 5- scrap a "non-person" LO - sooooo there must be no people in the LO. This could be a LO on your dog, your fave coffee cup, a tree you love - that sort of thing. You must have a frame somewhere on the LO, as well as a title and some journalling.
My inspiration for this LO was my fav Q Tea Kit to date.... Moulin Rouge (July Kit). The minute I saw the sneak peek I knew it would suit my pics from the night we went to the Moulin Rouge- I particularly loved the flocked wall paper and strechy mesh etc.

I love this layout, it is now one of my all time favs (alongside one of my idol entries from last year). I love that Idol challenges me to do some of my best work.... I was lucky enough to get through to the next round with the ooh la la layout- quite an accomplishment I think considering no-one knew who they were voting for.

The challenge for Week 6 was to create your own embellishments (no store bought ones are to be used on the page and you must include plastic, metal and fabric. Page must contain at least 3 different handmade embellishments!) Here was my layout:

I used a metal pull tab from soft drink can, made my own 'hambly style' overlay using clip art and an overhead transperancy + attached a plastic 'love' cocktail swizzle stick (also from the QTea Moulin Rouge Kit). I ripped lengths of fabric to make ribbon. The journalling reads (on the 7 Gypsies Admit One Card). Lizzie's Pub Golf Hen's Nights. Second last 'hole' of the ight included yummy cocktails. There is a lot more texture and dimesnion IRL, it didn't photograph well.

I was eliminated after this round which was probably good with the wedding looming very very close. But I would like to say thanks to Ali and the team at Embellished for the awesome opportunity and I look forward to next year!!!

My take on Embellished Idol's Round #3, was eliminated last round so this was Just For Fun

The challenge was to scrap your motto on something other than 12x12. So I scrapped on fabric and the put it into an embroidery hoop (that I decorated with some lace). It's probably the biggest thing I have ever scrapped (to give you an idea both the striped paper and the scalloped edge round paper are 12x12 on their own). But I love it and can't wait to have a scrap room where I can hang it up (no hooks in my scraproom currently as we rent).

So I completed the layout for round 2 of Embellished Idol... the criteria were

* make your own 'arty' background (Spray, splatter, drip or smear some paint)

And I was promptly eliminated (lol). Never mind... always next year

Plus I probably have more than enough on my plate at the moment. I'm 39 days out from the wedding and i'm acting unit leader of Youth Services for the next 2 weeks while my boss is away.

My dress has arrived- finally... and I get to have my first fitting on the weekend. I can't wait.

Sick, Tired and feeling sorry for myself (LOL)

Ok, I knew this would happen at some stage, a combination of burning the candle at both ends and not enough sleep/self care. I'm sick (silly head cold). So i've taken the day off today (left the holiday program in my co-workers hands (poor things having to take 50 teenagers to the Game On Exhibition- play your way through viseo game history and a ride on the Giant Sky Wheel- Largest mobile ferris wheel in the southern hemisphere).

So i'm chilling at home (literally- gotta love a Melbourne winter). Tying up some wedding details (anything that does not require a phone call as my voice is scratchy). We are progressing so fast with all the wedding details now (only 59 days to go!!!!). Had phase one of my hair for the wedding done last friday (I've now got an even colour- albeit darker blonde all the way through). I'll head back for phase two a couple of weeks before the wedding (light blonde foils and highlights). I also have the first hair and makeup trial next week (i'll be sure to post some pics).

Also gearing up for Embellished's Idol competition. Took a lot of thought on my behalf as to whether to enter or not this year (wasn't sure if I could make the commitment as the competition ends the week of my wedding if I make it all the way through). But Dean encouraged me and it seems like a good opportunity to scrap some wedding photos (trying to keeping a wedding planning scrapbook). So count me in!!!!

Still here... Work's getting busier (nearly school holiday time again) and wedding planning is consuming almost every other minute.

Nothing too new to report though.... just tried to upload the invite, but because we are on dial-up it wouldn't get through (must get my brother to give me a lower res file) so I can show off what a fabulous job he did.

The dress should arrive in about a months time (i'm getting a bit anxious), can't wait to see it on me properly (the one I tried on was a couple of sizes too small).

But it's all starting to fall into place.

Also one of my friends from High School is getting married later this month... so were in the middle of all her pre-wedding stuff. Attending her 'Golf' themed Pub Golf Hen's night next week... should be fun (9 drinking holes- you have to outdrink the bride) and should generate a heap of hilarious photos.

Wedding Stuff!!!!

(man that can take over your life if you let it), but the short and simple list of accomplishments in the planning process for the month of may were:

- Found a photographer (finally!!!!!!!!!!!)... Her name is Megan Aldridge and you can check out here stuff here-: http://www.ma-photo.com/
- Designed the Wedding Invitation with my brother (will post a piccy soon)
- Booked the transportation- Vintage Jaguars (MK5 for those who know what that means lol)
- Started getting ideas and then quotes for flowers
- ordered and got my dress hoop from e-bay (now just to dye it blue !!!!)

Birthday Stuff!!!!

Dean and I both had birthdays (on the 20th for him and 23rd for me). We went out to dinner for Yum Cha (how good is yum cha) and both had good days. But I think having a birthday (getting older) and also all the wedding planning has screwed with my head. I've been a bit anxious and introspective- feeling this need to plan the next couple of years of my life.

So anyway in the spirit of dealing with this anxiety in a positive way I've decided to do something thats been on the internet for a while

101 things to do in 1001 days

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

So anyway I've started my list and plan to add/clarify it over the next week or so. I'll post the list when it's completed.

My end date is Sunday, February 27, 2011... seems so far away!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there is a good scrapbook layout in all of this lol (I can't wait until I have more time again for things like scrapping)

So where have I been for so long????

Work, Work, Work
Following Easter (which fell so early this year) I ran Holiday Action (Wyndham's Teenage Holiday Program) for 35 to 50 young people each day. This backed up onto National Youth Week which I also coordinated. This involved organising and facilitating 14 events over 7 days.

Attended Crop For Kids
Love this event (went last year as well). I'm passionate about the Royal Children's Hospital as my brother has Cystic Fibrosis and had a lot to do with the Children's over the years (including a few admissions, regular check ups etc). I love that I can combine my passion for scrapping with making donations to this great charity. I shopped up a storm at the trash and treasure (scored some great bargains), won a For Keeps subscription in the lucky envelopes (woohoo) and shopped with thre retailers. Spent the day making an album for Mum's 50th (haven't got a photo for you- must take one lol)

Wrist Troubles
Silly me tripped over the internet cord (we have dial up) and slammed my wrist into the wall. This caused extreme pain and for a while we thought it might be broken. Ended up being a soft tissue injury which took about 3 weeks to heal (i.e. not hurt or cause discomfort). So I couldn't do much for a loooooong time (thats how it felt anyway) and was one of the main things that stopped me applying for the Embellished Design Team (so sad)

Birthdays
It's the birthday time of year for us, with some particularly big ones. Bec (one of my bridesmanids) turned 27 (boy are we getting old lol), Mum turned the big 50, my little sister turned 21 (oh how old she is getting) and Dean's dad had a birthday as well. My little brother also has a birthday in a weeks time, then in just under a month it's both Dean and my birthdays (we're 3 days apart)

Planning The Wedding
It's all progressing well. We have booked the venue, a glorious Victorian mansion Butleigh Wootton in Kew. Check out http://www.butleighwootton.com.au/ if you want to have a look (it has an online 3D tour). The selling point was the fabulous marquee out the back to hold our ceremony in. Having an August wedding this is all important as rain is a real possibility. So the ceremony will be at 5.30pm and it will be candlelit (how romantic). This will be immediately followed by cocktails and canapes and then a yummy 3 course meal and dancing. I can't wait.

We picked the first celebrant we interviewed. We both wanted a female celebrant and someone a bit younger (both agreed we didn't want one of those older, matronly celebrants). Monique was just wonderful. Young, friendly and she immediatly put us both at ease. I really enjoyed meeting with her and it all felt wonderfully real and exciting!!!!! I took that as a good sign and we booked her straight away.

I have the all important dress. I fell in love with a dress that on the website of one of the dress shops in Melbourne. I then proceeded to go to a few other shops to try on dresses before going to that shop, trying the dress on and fell even more in love with it. It will arrive in July (so more of an update then with fittings etc).

During the crazy National Youth Week time I took the bridesmaids dress shopping (I had done some prelimary scouting and also asked a place to bring in a sample dress I liked out of a catalogue). We visted a few places and the girls ended up choosing the dress that I had ordered in. This is the style and the colour is Periwinkle Blue (a gorgeous dusky blue)

We have been searching for a photographer. Have interviewed a few and gotten details from another couple, but haven't found the one yet!!!

So obviously scrapping has had to take a bit of a back step for the last 3 months. But i'm back on board. I attended the annual Embellished Scrap Retreat in Rockhampton over the weekend. I'll upload some piccys of the 2 mini books, 1 layout and technique class we did. I love love loved every part of the retreat and especially the classes. I love being back on board and i'm having a great big boost of mojo!!!!

I'll do a post on the retreat soon!!!!

I can't show you the stuff I designed as I subbed it (and I can't show until I hear anything). But as soon as I can I will also upload it.

In My Skin.... Week 2

Just popped in to show this, my entry for Week 2 of Embellished's In My Skin Competition, the topic was 'eyes' and i'm doing a 6x4 size book using postcards (you know those free ones you see eyerywhere or get in the mail)...

I used some scraps of Basic Grey blush I had lying around and combined it with the gorgeous new Making Memories Noteworthy range (yummo). Love how it came together. I also used my own handwriting (which I don't normally do)

Now I just have to back track and do week 1 (which I didn't get done as I was really sick with that horrible summer flu thats doing the rounds).

Also must do an update on the wedding plans... we've made progress!!!!

Vintage Goodness

Thought today I would share this....

I made it to enter the QTea Creative Team Call a little while back. It started life as a very old recipe folder that looked like this...

Which I covered in some gorgeous black and white spotted fabric that had been in my stash for a while. Then used some vintage cookbook paper that I had been hoarding in my stash for the day when I would finally do this project. The lovely 1950's lady came from a book I picked up at a Warehouse book sale (I bought the book because I loved her and could imagine her on the folder). The last detail was the gorgeous apron fabric that I got from spotlight.

Unfortunately I didn't make the QTea team, as so many talented Arty ladies entered and were successful in joining the team and also getting Guest designer spots. Where did January go?????

I can't believe January is nearly over, it feels like it was New Year just a couple of days ago.

I'm enjoying a couple of days off after working crazy hours over the last couple of weeks organising and then running the holiday program (50+ teenagers a day, on excursions all over Melbourne- you get the idea!!!)

So I have thrown myself into wedding planning... who knew it was so hard!!!! We are only at the beginning but not being a great decision maker every thing feel so difficult. I'm kinda hoping everything will just fall into place lol!!!!

I've been to a few places and tried on dresses... again have found it a bit overwhelming (and not in the burst into tears because it's my wedding dress kind of way), but I'm assuming I just haven't found the right one yet. I've liked quite a few, but haven't had that wow omg this is the one feeling. Planning to take Mum next time (she's just come back from Europe), so maybe that will make things different.

I haven't done any scrapping. I'm thinking my hobby is now scrapbooking shopping as opposed to actaul scrapping lol!!! I seem to be able to make time to shop but not scrap. I think this says something about my state of mind. Plus my scrap room needs a total overhaul (cannot even get into the room), so there are all these piles of supplies in the lounge which I haven't put away cos I think if I put them into the room I'll never get into the room to see them.

I think I need a cleaning fairy to come and make over my life lol!!!!

Hope you had a great Christmas and a very Happy New Year.... Did Santa bring you something good???? Did you do something exciting on NYE????

The Christmas/New Year period was busy as usual....

* Xmas Eve- Spent with my family at my Brother's House... My Dad, mum and sister were flying out christmas day for Europe so it was good to spend some time with them before they left.
* Xmas Day- With Dean's family His family have a big get together with all the xtended family that can make it. Great day but left early as I wasn't feeling well.
*Boxing Day- Down to Frankston to visit Dean's sister and other family who couldn't make it the day before
*Day after Boxing Day- Visited Dean's Nana in Sorrento. Then went to the Dromana Drive In that night!!!! How fun are drive ins????? We saw Enchanted (was OK probably had too high expectations).
*Worked NYE and then went home to have a carpet picnic with Dean on the hottest NYE ever (42 degrees).

So What did Santa bring me???

Thanks to the girls who do stop by for a look and I apologise for not having updated this in ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what news???

* haven't been scrapping much (because the scrap room looks like a bomb has hit it- can't find anything)
* Our landlords sold the apartment we rent while we were away so we have new landlords (and a new real estate company)
* Work is full on (not unexpected with school holidays fast approaching)
* The Ring still hasn't arrived. They promised three weeks, then 4 weeks and now maybe if I'm lucky i'll have it before Xmas (I hate having bigger fingers and having to have the ring made- but it is gorgeous ;-)
* and we bought a new Car

The Nissan Tiida Q Hatch and We pick it up tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also did Rachel Scholz's Crop for Kids Class Last Night- just have to find my Heidi Swapp Journalling Circles to finish it off and then i'll upload them (that may involve cleaning the entire scrap room cos I know they'll be right down the bottom LOL)

I also did Ang C's Christmas Card Class at Embellished. Loved this (I struggle to make cards- but ang makes it very easy and the results are always great!!!!). I also upload those at some stage

I'm on RDO Friday so looking forward to starting some new projects that have been in my head for a while

Hi to everyone,

Dean and I had an absolute blast in Europe!!!! The time went past so quickly, but we saw and did so many wonderful things (it really was the trip of a lifetime).

The Trip in brief.... We were away for just over 4 weeks and visited London, Brussels, Brugge, Amsterdam, Paris, Lausanne (switzerland), Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Venice, Florence and Rome.

The Highlights... We
- Took a spin on the huge London Eye (giant ferris wheel)
- Peeked at the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London
- Explored beautiful underated Belgium with my Relatives
- Visited Anne Frank's House and cruised the canals in Amsterdam
- Had dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower, cruised the Seine and saw the show at the Moulin Rouge
- Got stuck in Paris due to a Public Transport Strike (shucks had to spend an extra night in Paris)
- Visited the Romantic Road in Germany where we visited the Fairytale castles (more on this a bit later)
- Saw the sights in quaint Salzburg (while singing songs from the Sound of Music)
- Explored the gorgeous Schunnbrunn Palace in Vienna (and ate way too much Apple Strudel)
- Venice (OMG) that city is soooooo beautiful... can't emphasise how much I loved Venice (especially from a Gondola)
- Watched gorgeous sunsets over the Tuscan hills from the Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence
- And explored the ancient ruins of Rome (that city has more history than any other place I know).

And those were just some of the highlights... I'm sure I have forgotten heaps more of them

The absolute biggest highlight took place when we took a day trip alond the "Romantic Road" in Bavaria Germany. We woke up that morning and it had started snowing!!!!!!! (now i'm from Melbourne and although it gets cold down here I've never seen snow). Dean said my eyes were so big and I was so excited.

Now they don't call it the Romantic Road for nothing... the scenery is stunning and especially covered with snow. Anyway were we visiting the Fairytale Castles of King Ludwig of Bavaria (he was declared crazy at the end of his life but not before he built a number of gorgeous castles- one of which (Neuschwanstein Disney modelled it's fairytale castle from).Anyway, we climbed the steep mountain, through the gorgeous snow covered forest to get to the Neuswanstein Fairytale castle (a 40min uphill walk) and did the tour of the castle.

On the way down, Dean started acting a bit strange and wating to admire the scenery a whole lot (not that I minded it was stunning). We moved over to the side of the road, he started telling me how much he loved me, tried to get down on one knee (in the snow) and proposed. I accepted and we both couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day (even now I have to admit).

So now we are back... completely jetlagged and struggling to adapt ready for work on Monday.

I'll try and upload some piccys of the trip for those that are interested... gotta work on one of those photo hosting sites (but with over 1000+ photos it could take some time).

I loved my trip, but i'm also glad to be back (only so long you can live out of a backpack)

Embellished Idol- Round Two

I made it through to Round 2 of Embellished's Idol Competition. Yay!!!!!!!

The challenge for week 2 was to use a Paint Strip on your Layout (i.e. the ones you get in the paint department at Bunnings).

Here is my entry

These pics are of my little (well not so little anymore) Sister. She's got a completely different style to me and this challenged me to scrap in a different style and colour combo. The journalling is hidden on the cool new Collections Journalling Card (left top hand corner) which is tucked under the pp's. It reads "Lisa, Rach and Cindy at Nemesis. Friday 13th July 2007, "Black Cat Night".Paint Swatches: I used a Black to Grey Strip and a Pink to Red Strip.

This was a real challenge for me, as I thought I would hate the look of a paint strip on a LO. However at the moment, this is one of my fav LO's ever!!!! I love the layers, embellies and it all came together so easily!!!!

Fingers Crossed the girls who are voting like it!!!!

Embellished Idol- Week 1

Well Embellished Idol is back for 2007!!!!!!! If you haven't had a chance to check it out head to http://www.embellished.com.au/ cos the work is spectacular!!!!!

My goal for this year is to do better than last year (i.e. make it past the first round)... that could be difficult given the talent that Embellished is uncovering.... lol

Just thought I would share a few Layouts that I have finished recently.....

Firstly...

"Chill On Ice Bar"

This LO was done for Embellished Monthly LO Competition- This LO is a part of the Melbourne Amazing Race I organised for Dean for his birthday. One of the activities was to visit the Chill On Ice Bar (literally a bar inside a huge freezer where everything is made out of ice (even the glasses you get your cocktails in). It was sooooo cold inside (particularly when you sit on the ice couch). But there are heaps of cool ice sculptures.This LO is going to be part of a album I'm putting together for Dean to remeber the amazing weekend we had exploring Melbourne like tourists Amazing Race style.

Secondly...

"Giant Sky Wheel"

My LO from the "In Class with Embellished" hosted by the talented Ali Russell. I have scrapped another of the activities Dean and I did on the Melbourne Amazing Race weekend I organised for him for his birthday. We went on the huge temporary Sky Wheel that was set up in Birrarung Marr in Melbourne's CBD. Got the most amazing views of Melbourne!!!!

It was my cute boyfriend's sisters birthday on the weekend. She hosted a psychodelic 60's theme party complete with fondue (cheese and chocolate), lava lamps and groovy flowers. I forgot my camera, but when I get some photos from her I'll upload them to show you.

But for her birthday I got to make her up a Scrapbooking Kit... I decided to use the very popular Love Elsie range as the base and add some little funky bits I managed to find which coordinated like a dream .

I was lucky enough to have the morning off today, So finally after not having a spare moment to scrap, I bit the bullet this morning and started creating. I made up a vintage inspired tag featuring a gorgeous pic of my Oma (grandmother)- i've loved being inspired by the vintage blogs and sites i've been seeing lately.

I've also started a pennant banner using the delish My Minds Eye Tre Jolie- Ooh La La patterned papers (love this paper range so much) and the gorgeous monograms. Might put up some sneak peaks as they eventuate!!!!

Spotlight was having a 20% off sale on Monday and I stocked up on all the Rachel Ashwell shabby chic laces and also the gorgeous vintage ric rac that I spotted. These will also be debuting on the pennant banner.

Hello again...

Nothing new creation wise to show you... but in BIG news I have tidied my scrapping space (this is big news as most people know how messy I am). I have also been spending lots of time blog and website surfing. My newest craze is "vintage"- can't seem to get enough of it and it's very easy to be inspired as there is a ton of new vintage products on the market and i'm discovering lots of talented gals out there are doing superb things when it comes to vintage.

Bliss....

So today I got a massage and got my ears candled at work. Gotta love a workplace that brings a massuse/natural therapist to your workplace and the allows you to take time off to go and relax!!!!

I had a delightful 1/2 hr neck and back massage (includes a head massage which always sends me into bliss!!!!). Then I had Ear Candling done. It's something i've always wanted to try (I have really bad ears- and i'll try anything that works.) It's an unusual experience... Vanessa inserted the hollow candles into my ears. She then lit them. It feels warm ans soothing and there is a crackling noise. But, it mostly sounds like the noise you hear inside a seashell. The treatment too approx 45-55mins.

There is lots of skeptical info out there on the internet about ear candling (try googling ear candleing and you'll see). But I have to say it did make my ears and head feel clearer afterwards (they haven't felt that way in a long time). In my right ear I did feel a real sucking (blocking and unblocking) and there was a large amount piece of "wax" in the candle at the end. I think it could be really helpful after I fly (those pressurised cabins and landings mess with my ears). Wouldn't do it all the time, but would definitely do it again.

Still haven't had any time to do any crafty creative stuff (working longer weirder hours), but I have been blog and website surfing quite a bit (beats the late night quiz shows). There sure are lots of talented ladies out there producing some amazing work. I've loved a lot of the ideas and I sure am inspired..... Just need a few more hours in the day

Thats a good question.... it's been awhile since the last post (this blogging thing is as hard as I thought it would be).

I'm in the middle of my busy time at work (school holidays are coming).... so I'm spending a lot of time organising the school holiday program for approx 30-55 young people daily who are aged 12-15!!!! Busy, Busy Busy... so haven't had much time for creating (but have managed to fit in some time for shopping).

We spent the Queen's Birthday long weekend (thanks Lizzy!!!) with Dean's Nana on the Mornington Peninsula.... Had a lovely relaxing time (got soem great books read) and I also got the opportunity to visit the lovely Paper Doll Boutique (a cute little scrapbook shop in Frankston offering really great classes from the looks of it) and the mega Paper Squared (my god that place is huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I wondered around for ages... they had everything you could think of (and more). I guess it was all a bit overwhelming cos I only spent what I would spend at a regular shop (which suprised me).

Insert another busy week at work----> Blah, Blah, Blah

On Saturday, Dean and I visited the Gasworks Farmers Market to pick up some lovely gresh produce and supplies... plus snack on a very yummy Rhurbarb & Cream Tart and then some Turkish Delight..... hmmm bliss

And then on Sunday, the lovely Ang (co-owner of Embellished) hand delivered my kit (from Rockhampton to Melbourne) that I won on the Embellished website for the May monthly and sketch competition!!!! It's the deightful "In Love with Lily" kit (Embellished does yummy kits)which includes the yummy new Urban Lily range, heidi swapp white chipboard letters, arctic frog letter stickers and some lovely ribbons (see the piccy at the top- taken from the Embellished website!!!!).

We caught up in Chapel St for a coffee and chat and made plans to hit the scrapbook shops on Tuesday. On Tuesday we hit Scraptacular (where we picked up some of the new, very funky "Love Elsie" range) and then The Scrapbook Scene... I had an absolute blast and loved catching up on all the goss (Thanks Ang!!!!)

1. I love Junk Mail... receiving it, reading it, planning what to buy, finding bargains (it may actually tie in with my love of shopping???)
